Backup & restore

Export a backup file to move your data to another copy of this planner, another folder, or another browser. Restoring a backup replaces everything currently saved here, so make sure it's the file you want.

Your financial data is stored only in this browser. Use Backup regularly and before moving to another device. Opening this planner in a different browser, on a different computer, or on a different phone or tablet starts with no data of its own — devices don't automatically share or synchronize what you enter here. Exporting a backup and restoring it on the other device is the only way to bring your data with you.

How it works

About this planner

Family Budget Together v1.0.2 — built to work fully offline, with no account, no subscription, and no network requests. Your data lives only in this browser, on this device.

Once this planner is hosted online at a single web address, you'll be able to open that address on your phone or tablet and use your browser's "Add to Home Screen" option (in Safari or Chrome) to get a quick-launch icon — that's a shortcut to the page, not a way to share data between devices. This dev/review copy is a single file with no hosted address yet.

Nothing has been changed, overwritten, or deleted. Your saved data is exactly as it was before you opened this file.

Restore from a backup

If you have a backup file exported from this planner (from Settings → Export backup), you can use it to recover your data. Selecting a file only checks it — nothing changes until you confirm.
